Building A Creative Base

“I am not going to give you the answer because that would spoil all of your fun.” This comment was overheard in the Lower School classroom, one student to another in reference to a math problem.
It is quite fulfilling as a teacher to provide opportunities for a child to think “from the ground up,” as with preparing clay, making paper, discussing problems related to math or world issues. It is in the question – the seek and find – that the greatest learning and discovery happens.
