Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow

Every day at Counterpane is filled to the brim with the experience of learning. Today was an overflow day. In the morning we had two visiting Counterpane graduates – each has completed college, gotten married, and one is expecting her first baby in October.  In the afternoon we enjoyed a visit by a golf pro from Canon Gate Golf Club to educate the Upper School on “golf etiquette” as they ready to assist with or play in the Golf Classic at White Water Country Club on Friday, September 21.

At the end of the school day, Counterpane students and parents met at the Links Golf Course to practice, learn a few pointers, and have good family fun getting ready for the Classic.

The Golf Classic, our major fundraiser for the school was the subject of energetic discussion at the All School Parent Meeting that evening. This event is our means of raising funds for out facility improvements and our outreach literacy program – Souns. We need to invest in a new roof and we are committed to continue our support of Babies Can’t Wait in GA. To date we have supported early literacy intervention for hundreds of children in Fayette and Coweta Counties. There is no marketing better than what you do for your community. We are bigger than our walls! We are bigger than ourselves! Most importantly – our children are learning to think outside of themselves.

Counterpane needs all the support we can get for this event: play, sponsor, donate!  Our tomorrows need you to join in this effort today! Everyone knows someone who golfs or who would be willing to sponsor at some level. Any donation is appreciated.
